We are Michael, Hayley, and baby Summer. We run Fernside Microfarm in Fernside, North Canterbury.

In 2021 we welcomed our little baby girl into the world. With that unexpectedly came new dreams for our little family.

We want baby Summer to see life through a lens of wellness, sustainability and respect to Papatuanuku. That’s where our MicroFarm was born, and our weird little obsession with microgreens.

Starting off small, we hope to provide the best quality and variety of microgreens, with a range of flavour profiles to make every meal reach it’s best micro-potential.

We love good food, especially wholesome home cooking.  We know life can be busy, and it can be difficult to 'nail it' with nutrition every single meal. We are passionate about doing what we can to bring a bit of natural goodness back to the plate - that is what is so great about these little green powerhouses! They're fun, pretty and delicious!

 

We also want to share our love of growing microgreens, so we will soon be providing seed starter packs and sharing our own tips and tricks on how to grow them at home!
